Party!
I am headed off to work here in about an hour. Won't be home till 11 tonight.
Also, I will be going to work on Tuesday this week.
I was glad they finally called me. Seems like everyone is covering their shifts so they will have plenty of money for the Christmas holidays. I really HAVE felt like the official backup person lately and no one wanted to be backed up!!!
Went to a friend's annual Christmas party last night, just down the street a few doors. Every year, she makes these wonderful stuffed artichoke bottoms with parmesan and pine nuts that go into the oven. Oh my. I only have one once a year. And believe me, one is enough! Yum!
It was a happy group and we had a nice conversation with the introverted ones that tend to congregate upstairs in the family room. It was the same 4 couples up there as last year.... We just gravitate to a quieter spot to talk. It was a lot of fun, and it really adds to the experience for me, to be able to walk home in two minutes! No driving around. What a bonus!
Well, I have to go pack myself a lunch/dinner and haul myself outta here.

i love those kind of parties, and it makes it even better that you can walk home afterwards :)

I hope you are over your disapointment re that lovely dog . I bet there will be lots to choose from at the pound in the new year ..maybe even pups .

The party sounded like fun. I could never be counted as an introvert, but I think the most fun I ever have at parties is the quiet conversations with those I don't get to see very often.
