Reflector Gnomes
Thu Jul 17 2003

I am sitting here in front of my fancy new two-toned natural keyboard with all the cute internet shortcut buttons and the media controls plus a couple of little green lights that I am not even sure what they mean…accompanied by a brain that is barely functioning. What a waste of equipment.

The tree frogs are suction cupping their way across the green jello, accompanying my erratic typing. They have red eyes by the way, those frogs.

When I was younger and would be driving home late at night with my kids in the car, I used to tease them that when I got really tired, I would start to see gnomes hiding behind the reflector posts by the side of the road. More than once, I had them all watching out for them for me, so as to warn me in case they decided to jump out in front of the car.

I would love to be able to share something witty with you, but my witty widget is curled up in a corner fast asleep, and if I am not mistaken is sucking it’s thumb.

I need to go get into the bathtub and soak my weary bones a while.

Robbie is almost back to normal. He was begging for food at the dinner table tonight, so he must be feeling his old self again. He got one crust of bagel for old times sake, and then back to the cottage cheese and rice.
One more day and we will let him eat his regular food again.

Nighty night all….

My mother played a similar game with my sister when she used to drive me back and forth to uni, there's a radio mast that's a horn shape like in the teletubbies and she had to shout Teletubbies when she spotted it.

Glad Robbie is doing much better, he's going to sulk though when he finds out it's back to dog biscuits instead of cottage cheese!
