Four Week Chicks

Dudes. I know you can buy store bought canned beans. But I had a bunch of dry ones and wanted to do my own. Besides, did you know that dry beans can get kinda… old and take a LONG time to cook? So I preserved my own beans. Hey, I have the pressure canner, I have the jars, I had the beans. :-)
(You ARE full of beans.)
No, my pantry is now full of beans.
(Whatever.)
Exactly.
The chicks are four weeks old today, and harder than ever to get pictures of. Their legs are longer, and they can move faster, cover more ground and sometimes do this 'hop-fly' thing that is hilarious to watch. They look like popcorn with feathers.
Speaking of which they are starting to get real feathers in sort of random places on their bodies… except for the wings, those came first and fast.
They are vastly entertaining.
I leave you with the prettiest flower on the 'farm' today.
It's been a lovely day.
Have a nice weekend all!

Love those wing feathers, so pretty. No wonder you are enamoured with these little chicks.

Tiny chicks are cute, full-grown hens are elegant, but half-way in between they're seriously ugly! (Sorry chickens, but you will grow out of it ;-))

Adorable!! I can't wait to see if you have Aunts or Uncles.
