Knits and Bits

Toys that are officially presented to Frodo, [in a special little ceremony which involves me whispering things into his ear] should get some kind of medal of honor. Pink hearts or something similar, for valiant efforts to remain intact.

Some toys do better than others:

All Frodo has to say is, "We loves our Bunny we do. We loves it to bits."

It's a rainy day here today. I'm loving it. I'm also taking the day off. Officially. I had to say it out loud to myself. I'm knitting. Well, right this minute I'm taking a break. I had to stop and eat two tangerines. But I am well on my way to finishing up my third birthday present. I predict that if I can successfully enforce my actual 'day off', I will bind off by 4 pm today.

A few days ago, I finished a pair of Dashings for a certain family member. While browsing on the Yarn Harlot's blog, I noticed she is working on a pair too. I was beaming with satisfaction because my Dashings look every bit as good as her Dashings. This gives me no end of jollies.

Of course I am not in her knitting league by any stretch of the imagination, but it's nice to know we have something in common.

Okeeday, I'm off to knit knit knit.

I think of you as my KnitWit friend.

Thanks for the picture that really demonstrates the meaning of "loves to pieces."

And how is Hubman's project coming along?

RYC: Sorry, I work in a university - I forgot that isn't an everyday word in the "real world" (we use it all the time when students are ill/disabled and need help reading/writing their exams).

Glad to have expanded your vocabulary :-)

I want to make her 'unoriginal' hat, or whatever it's called. Someday. First I think I'll knit that scarf of yours for my boss. :o)
