Accuracy In April

Well, the weather people were right this time.
It DID snow.
Around here, it is always good to get more snow in the mountains. So this is a Spring bonus, top off before Summer shows up and dishes out whatever he has in store for us this year.
Down here, we had a nice soaking rain which is really helping out the pastures AND my garden. You know that saying in child rearing circles... 'breast is best' ? Well in the gardening world, especially here where we have to irrigate in the summer, 'rain is best'. Over the years, I have noticed a marked difference in the plants growing in the garden after we have gotten a good rain as opposed to irrigation.
Turns out my observations are accurate...

I have peas coming up in the garden and a few scattered radishes, and transplanted volunteers that I moved into the beds. They are all singing and dancing out there this morning.
But I didn't stop to take any pictures because there is a nippy breeze blowing off the snow freezer up there, so I snapped these shots and bolted for Bruce.
Don't let that green grass and cozy looking woods fool you.
It's COLD out there today!

These are awesome. Do I give credit to that new camera or the photographer? Looks like mother nature may have played her part as well.

Brrr! Cold here today. Breezy and 61 at noon! Ask me how I know. I was sitting outside at Starbucks in the shade. My butt cheeks are frozen!
