It's A Hanukkah Bush You Silly!

[album 65561 Tree2.JPG]

Okay, I will try to restrain myself from putting too many more of these on here. And I must admit in public that I am following in my 'dealer's' footseps and introducing my neighbor D. to iris folding sometime today.
I am absorbed by paper right now. What can I tell you?

I am doing my Jewish good deed to society this week by staying home and out of the way of the last minute shoppers. I figure they have enough to deal with without my bumbling presence in the shops.

The lights grow brighter and brighter each night here at our house. Tonight we will have seven candles plus the shamash or servant candle that we light all the rest of them with. I'm thinking next year I might try to find a menorah that uses olive oil and wicks. I've never used one and am curious to try it.

Well, my knitting calls to me. Socks need their heels.

Later!

Lovely. Beautiful.

New recruits is a good thing! Pass the word!

Do I sense and addiction here?

Whatever. It's art worthy of framing.

I light two menorahs so there's light in all of my public rooms. And because Rowena isn't here, I light for her.

Happy Hanukkah!

Whew! A Hanukkah Bush.... if that had been a Christmas tree I would have been in real trouble. It is cute though....hmmmmm... ouch! .... Quilty just pecked me. *rubs arm and shakes head* I guess that means I am destined to remain a fabric person. :)

Will you be celebrating the wonderful International Jews Go to the Movies and Eat Chinese Food Day on Monday? It really beats the Noachide Christmas, that is staying home and doing laundry.

I've been thouroughly enjoying watching the candles in my Chanukkiah burn. It was so beautiful tonight. The only bad thing about tomorrow night is that it's the end of the pretty lights. :-( I guess I'll just dim the lights a bit and stare at the flickering candles until they are gone. I'll take photos, too.

Next year I want to do olive oil, too, but I want the little disposable cups that fit in my existing menorrah. Instead of having to deal with filling and washing oil cups and trying to float cork wick holders and all the BS that goes with that. Of course, with the oil cups, cork floats, wicks and etc., you are good to go for years. All you need after that is kosher olive oil.

Wow, I can really carry on quite an arguement with myself, can't I? *sigh*

Happy Chanukkah!
