Snowbound

When I was up north, I was blessed to be there for a real snow storm. This is a picture after the first night of snowfall. The next night, it dumped an almost equal amount on top of this.
I loved every minute of it.
And because it IS approaching Spring, in just a day or two it had substantially melted away believe it or not.
Ben and Sunny were quite hesitant at first and didn't want to go out into the snow. But once they got a taste of running around with powder flying behind them, it was dog sled season from then on.
Though it took Ben some time to figure out that racing on the deck and expecting to make a sharp turn did not compute. He skidded and fell several times before he avoided the deck when at top speed.
S. and I had a great chance to catch up on virtually everything, as the snow kept us all in the house one whole day. We stoked the fire, baked two loaves of bread, and talked each other's ears off.
Perfection.

That looks beautiful! I miss living where it snows, but I just know all that cold would really make me hurt now, too. I guess I'd be housebound a lot if I still lived in snow country.

Love it! I do miss it. We got a couple of inches here a few days ago, but it melted by noon.
