Aired out The Sunny this afternoon. Ran her to almost a standstill out in the fields. I think she is just a tad out of shape. That makes a pair of us then. The cold snap is fading a bit and it was comfortable for walking though, lucky for us.
Though now I am beginning to think a good rain would be just the thing. I may have to get the sprinkler out and give the yard a drink.
Hub Man bought two Southern Highbush blueberry plants the other day that should be put in the ground, but I need to get some peat moss for them first. He bought them on a whim and then after I printed out information on how to grow them and he found out that we need to prune them pretty hard for two years before letting them fruit, he was more than a little miffed. He's not big on delayed gratification. . .
That's why I'm the gardener in the family.
Anybody reading who has any good advice about growing this kind of blueberry, please pass it on. I'm all ears. Never grew one before myself. Though I think I'm just getting a faint idea of what a nice blueberry buckle might taste like.....in my imagination. . .
Okay, I promised myself to sit down and work on socks today. A certain person we all know whose name begins with Mamallama, has been very patient waiting for hers. Wait till you see the colors she chose. Yummy.
Very Debbie Mummish.
Okeedoke, gotta git.
