Greetings Dear Diary Friends, Dr. Rubber Duckie here. I am writing this by way of explanation for our Liebchen's absence. She will be taking a sabbatical for the month of October. This month is full of high holy days and is a time of introspection. She and I both agreed that to give her full attention to this would be a good thing. Our Leibchen is also suffering from the most severe case of writer's doldrums it has ever been my misfortune to encounter. Between you and me, I am quite alarmed at her lackluster efforts in that department these last few weeks. It has put her in quite a funk, I can tell you. You know how these artistic temperments can fluctuate. . . You may rest assured, she will be under my close observation. I have also been in touch with some of my most esteemed colleagues, seeking out innovative treatments for her condition. I have guarded optimism that she will be recovered enough by November first to return and celebrate her three year anniversary here at Dear Diary. I know how much she values your friendship, and I am sure she will be keeping abreast of your diaries. So until November, Auf Wiedersehen Dr. Rubber Duckie Ph.D. Certified Aquatic Therapist Tub Division

Well, dang. We'll miss you, but we understand.

Have a wonderful month, and we'll see you back, writing with your usual charm (not to mention hilarity) in November.

    Dang. That's a whole month!

    Dang.

    Hugs,
    Ani

    Dear Dr. Rubber Duckie,
Let Liebchen know we will miss her and she should find ways to distract herself temporarily to help get inspiration later. I recommend any Hugh Jackman movie, and any of the Janet Evanovich books!

    Dear Dr. Rubber Duckie,

We will indeed miss the presence of Yetzirah during this month; she is a special member of our DD family and we love her writing even when she feels it is lackluster. Trust me when I say we have all been there.

I hope this month of introspection will be sweet in its rewards and bring great peace to her soul.

Send her my very best regards,
    Quilty Hen

    Dear Dr. Rubber Duckie...
I understand these serious circunstances and realize the need for introspection for your patient at this time, but please remind her about the importance of keeping her teeth free from the nasty plaque that may be forming behind her upper and lower anterior teeth as we speak. Being a doctor I am sure you will agree that tooth plaque can create as much of a dilemma as mind plaque if not kept under control. I know her dental professional will be indebted to you for any incentive you might offer her. I know my foul weather friend is in good hands, uhh...webbed feet.

P.S. Don't forget to clean the tub.

    Parett

Dr. Rubber Duckie, please tell my friend I'll miss her but understand the need for a break. Don't be too hard on her, tell her to hurry back and we'll all be waiting.

As I've suffered from the opposite condition - ABSENCE, my personal prescription has been to write MORE. I'll be glad to see you back and writing again in November, but we all need to do what we need to do at times.

It is one of my favorite movies. My neighborhood would need to be in color, people would need to know about sex, and preferrably not have the owner of the local burger shoppe not painting nudes of local housewives on his windows!

Felting alert!! I found a new Family Circle Easy Knitting plus Crochet magazine on the newstand today. It has a big felted tote bag on the cover, says it is the Holiday 2005 issue and to display until 11/29/05. There are severel projects in there you might be interested in. :o)

Now if I'd just get the new WW magazine I subscribed to, I'd be really happy.
