Wed Apr 28 2004 - Catch Up !
Catch Up !

Everything is out of whack.

I have the update times mixed up so I have missed a day in my entries. I think I have my time zone thing correct on my diary, but my Dad's is set the old way.
What can I tell you, I'm in the mountains and out of whack!

I didn't have a chance to read diaries for 24 hours and when I checked my inbox was stunned at the 50 emails.... all DearDiary notifies !
I had a mini panic attack and read through them all like a crazy woman to catch up. When I am at home, I read one or two at a time throughout the day and it doesn't seem that big a deal. But it became clear to me that I am on A LOT of notify lists out there! Eeek!

But it is so interesting, and so much fun that I just can't give it up.... I don't even want to. But I don't like getting behind the curve either.

So off to get a few little things done and maybe take some pictures to share later on. (After a Wal-Mart picture CD run later this week I hope.

Will see Parett today. I think I will go a little early so we can visit.

Those darned notify lists sneak up on me too. At least now I have the friends list to check, so I know who I've signed up for.

After DD came back online everyone wrote all at once. My inbox was so flooded with notifies I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown..lol I do the same thing to, I read a few here and there throught my day. But yes, sensory overload when everyone decides to write at once. I find myself getting that glazed donut look after a fashion...LOL

Wow, that's a lot. I simply couldn't cope with that many. Good on you. It is fun, though, I'll admit. ;-)

I spent 45 minutes in the chair today also. I probably wouldn't mind it so much had I not had so many oral surgeries in my past due to a broken tooth and stubborn wisdom teeth.

Just the thought of going to the dentist puts knots in my stomach and gives me a killer headache.

Glad you're having fun on your visit. :o)

I thought you'd like the seed stitch. I almost wrote it out when I was making the entry, just because I knew you'd like it. Very easy. This is just the square -

Chain 30 loosely
Row 1 - SC in second ch from hook, * chain 1, skip the next chain, sc in next chain. Repeat across from *. Should be 29 stitches.
Row 2 - Chain 1, turn, sc in first sc and in first sc space. Chain 1, sc in next chain 1 space, chain 1 across.
Row 3 - Chain 1, turn, sc in first sc, ch 1. sc in next chain 1 space, chain 1 across to last 2 sc, sc in last sc.
Repeat rows 2 and 3.

It looks like this, though I didn't type out all 29 stitches:

| = sc
- = chain 1

||-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|
|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-||
||-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|
|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-||

You can make it any length or width you want. You have to do multiples of two chains for the pattern to come out right.

:o)

How'd the hdc's come out?

Hi again, Yetz!

I really enjoyed our visit although the phone kept ringing and people kept coming in. How dare they interrupt when I don't get to see you very often! And I was pretty dissapointed that Dr. Rubber Duckie didn't come with you. I can always use a good shrink!
Take care and God bless...Love ya...Parett
