The rain continues.
Last night the wind blew ferociously.
Sunny doesn't like it too much.
She slept curled up under my bedside table. I'll bet she has a crick in her neck.
It has now rained enough to start to fill up the ice pond.
I may have mentioned it before, but I'll just repeat, that according to local lore, this pond next to my house was fed by a nearby creek through a little ditch that someone dug a long time ago. The pond was in a good location to make ice for our town. Well, the ditch has long since gone out of use and is washed out and disappeared now [though you can still see parts of it here and there up on the hill] , but there is still a draw with a drainage creek that feeds the pond. It has to rain quite a bit, and in consecutive days for the pond to start to fill up.
Here it is today...
Sunny may not care for wind, but she isn't afraid of water.
