Feathering The Daydream Nest

Some days it's the simple hopes that keep us going….
Here's one possible incarnation:
Okay, maybe it's a little small. But it's so pretty.
Pretty? It's gorgeous! When do we move in?
As soon as I figure out how to outwit the homeowner's association.
(Good luck with THAT.)
Why thank you.
There's always the end-around play.

Quilty Hen nearly swooned..........even though it is a little small, she loves that it comes with a place for flowers; a true country cottage.
She also says and I quote, "Boo Hiss to short sighted neighborhood associations. Don't they know how GREEN it is to raise chickens?"
She has a point. ;)

Pretty much every other town and home owners' association in the country has had passionate debate about gardens and chicken keeping the last few years. Most others have given in on chickens as long as the flocks are kept small and rooster-free. (That probably makes your Hen quite happy since I really can't see her happy about putting up with all that loud crowing and other rooster nonsense.) You might want to start a petition to relax the suburban farming rules. You would probably be surprised by how many people in your neighborhood would like to keep a few chickens so their families can have healthier eggs.
