Home Fires Are Burning and the Soup's On
Today I emailed the organizer of the craft fair I went to last year. It is happening earlier this year so I am filling out the paperwork today and mailing it in.
I have a lot of stuff that I have made I really want to sell and get out of my closet. I feel embarrassed by the mountain of felted bags that are sitting in there. Really. It's time to move some merchandise.
It is a beautiful fall day here. Indian Summer day actually. I'm going to take the dogs out for a run after dinner. They have been very patient with me today. I have washed many loads of clothes, put some corn chowder into the crock pot, felted another bag... I know, I know..., baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies and feel like I could get even more done before the sun goes below the horizon.
I am experiencing 'Election Fatigue' at the moment so won't go into any details. Yesterday I got a nice dose of humor about the whole thing from this source: Get A Grip.
Sometimes you just need someone to put things into perspective...

I'm very glad that you had a good day. Sometimes those are hard to come by, especially at election time. Take the dogs for a walk and rejoice in nature ;)
On another note. I picked up a jar of locally made pumpkin butter at the Hill Climb. If you're interested in trying home made v. what I sent you last winter, I'd be happy to do that. Just let me know.

Ok, on to more important things..... I saw a mention of Pumpkin Butter in the comments. What did I miss? I love Pumpkin Butter...... especially on toast. Its like having pumpkin pie for breakfast.....wonderful....decadent even. Fill me in quick. I would not want to miss anything important. :)

A romp with the dogs has to be therapeutic! My cat won't go walking with me.
Chocolate chip cookies??!!! Hmmm...what did I do with that box of pumpkin spice quick bread mix? I planned to make muffins. Oh well...it'll turn up when I'm looking for something else.
