[album 65561 GoofyHen2.JPG]WELL!
I never!
Here I am, slaving away,
trying to keep things organized
around here, and helping to keep
'She Who Must Not Be Named'
on the straight and narrow.
Working my claws to the bone
to make sure we don't degenerate
into some ordinary coup.
And when it finally comes time
to reward me publicly for my
outstanding contributions
to the grand scheme of things around here,
I get replaced in the publicity photos
by some bimbo chick she got off the internet.
BUK that!
I think I'm going on a long vacation.
Alone.
Wow. I didn't think she would get that upset. After all, we did pretty well at our craft fair.....

I sold 12 of my purses and bags! Hub Man and my friend C. came to help. I would never have done it without them. We were in a kind of awkward spot in the middle of the walkway in the entrance of the fair. But as it turned out, it was good. Customers had to walk past us going in and out of the place. I had some nice conversations with people who came by to look. We talked knitting... [I worked on a bag the whole time I was there. Got one half finished!] I taught the lady in the booth next to us how to construct the bag. She was a knitter and wanted to know how I did it. There was a woman there who made clothes for American Girl dolls. OH MY were they wonderful. I don't know if she did well or not, but I so admired her work. I talked to a woman who made real homemade soap. The kind I make. Only hers was filled with wonderful herbs and oils. It was not a HUGE craft fair and I would say the turnout was light to moderate which suited me just fine for a first timer. I still have my garden socks though. I could not sell them even for the price of the yarn I bought to make them. Everyone admired them, but could not handle the price. I guess I am just going to have to get over my fear of ruining them, and wear them myself.
Anyhow, it was certainly worth doing. And I got some suggestions and pointers from people about what they liked and didn't like about some of my things. And someone suggested that I put things in some of the bags as ideas for what they could be used for. I thought that was good advice.
I don't think I will be doing a LOT of craft fairs. But I would sure do this one again.
However now I have to put my house back in order. I have spent all my spare moments getting ready for this event and let things get pretty out of hand around here. C. even commented that it looked like a bomb had gone off in here.
Where's that pesky little hen when I need her most?
Packing her little bags, that's where.
That's fowl play.
Don't you think?
