Today I took shovel in hand and set to on the weeds in my garden. It is my intention to turn this:     Into something more like this:     I have a ways to go...   It took me about an hour to do two sections of fence, so I figure 5 or 6 days of work. The soil is just right for pulling weeds and grass. It's damp, but not sodden and hasn't been walked on so the soil is pretty loose. All good reasons to work now before spring rains descend upon us. The main part of the garden can be roto-tilled, but this hand work needs to be done first. It's a good start.
