A New Perspective

Early this morning as I sat out in the back yard swing letting the cobwebs clear from my sleepy head, I glanced over at the corn patch and noticed something a little odd...

Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a sunflower that I had planted weeks ago and promptly forgotten about. It had made its way up above the corn and was in the process of blooming.

I had to get a ladder out to get a picture of it.

While I was up on the ladder I took a nice picture of the crookneck squash plant from the novel vantage point.  It truly takes my breath away. Especially considering my terrible luck with summer squashes up until this year.  It must be something in the air.

If you look carefully, you can see the blossoms. It is like a whole little world under those leaves. I'll bet Gnomes have set up summer camp under there. I would. If I were a Gnome.

(If you were a Gnome, they would have long since put you in a Gnomeasylum, which is, as everyone knows, under a rock.)

You're just jealous because those aren't YOUR crookneck squash plants.

(I do not care for squash.)

Figures.

Nice flower!
Mine are just lifting their sleepy heads above the soil. Just two little leaves. I hope they grow as big as your's!
Nice squash, too.

Nice Sunflower with looks to have three more heads. On the farm I raise great big sunflowers and had to sack the heads from the birds and save seeds for next year,I never did figure out how to dry the seeds for eating. .

Don't forget the Brownies. You should leave them a saucer of milk from time to time.

Bless

Glad you liked the video :) It's something special. I went free hugging once. What an experience. It was a perfect day. I lost track of the hugs I got. Hope you didn't cry too much x]
