Today a new ink arrived in the mail.

I have been looking at this ink for a long time. It kept showing up in the top ten for best shading inks, and shading is my favorite thing about fountain pen ink.

Anyway, here it is:

It's the nicest shade of blue-green. There is actually a type of pottery glaze that is very old that has the same name.

Shading is the property of certain inks to be light and dark depending on where the ink flows as you are writing. I forgot to put a dot on my 'j'. 🙄

I know, it's not a flashy color. It's quite subtle. But I find it is calming to my psyche.

(And lord knows your fragile psyche needs calming...)

Well, yes it does, not that it's any of your business.

(EVERYTHING is my business. I have to live with you.)

Perhaps something could be arranged....

(You wish.)

Sigh.

Anyway, here is a moody photo of my journal entry today...

I've had a fun afternoon playing with this ink. I needed a break from the heavy work in the garden. I'll be back out there tomorrow God willing. But today, I'm playing with the green-blue Cat. 🐈

I remember learning cursive in 2nd grade. Through the years, I have come up with my own handwriting when I use regular notebook as a journal. My handwriting changes because of my CP affected my left side a little and my dexterity is very jumpy once in a while in my left hand. I can practically have the paper upside down when I write. My 6th grade home room teacher who taught English could not believe it. I am left-handed.
