Girl's Night Out

The crescent moon
Holds a pearl gray ball
With the promise
Of more splendiferous jewels to follow.

She cradles once more
Her new cycle of light
And rejoices
That her exile was brief.

I saw her last night
Lifting her darkling pearl
Towards Venus
As if to show off her renewed power.

They descended together
Toward the horizon.
I wonder
What secrets they had exchanged by midnight.

I love your poetry. Do you have it collected in one place?

    That's beautiful!

Might I be so bold as to suggest an alternate title: Luna and Venus? Or perhaps Girl's Night Out with Luna and Venus, or Luna and Venus: A Girl's Night Out... or... Sorry, I got carried away.

    Lovely.
You really have a way with words, my dear.

How shall I ever look at the new moon again and not wonder about secrets whispered in the night sky?
