Take Me Out To The Ball Game!
Sat Jul 10 2004

Monstergue has got our mouths watering with talk of food. (Although we won't mention the bathroom cleaner) Ahem. I'm not laughing. I'm not. Look at me....

:-(

It's going to be pizza here for dinner. I don't think that's a traditional Shabbat kind of meal, but I have all the fixings and am hungry for it. There are a couple of tomatoes ripe in the garden. And basil. And I have some nice mozzarella and parmeasan. And veggie pepperoni.... Don't laugh. Yves brand is VERY good. And besides, we couldn't have pepperoni and cheese at the same time if it was the real stuff! (The old meat and milk situation).

We are having THE most perfect weather today. It's 80 degrees with a light breeze.
I cannot believe our good fortune. I heard the guy on the radio say that he had looked back in his weather log 2 years ago today, and it was 109 and the day following was 112! So you can see why I am so happy about our temperatures....

Tomorrow night we get to go to a minor league baseball game here in town. I am looking forward to it! Hub Man's company is sending the whole crew. We have scrip for food and it's supposed to be great weather again tomorrow. I wonder if they have kosher hot dogs?

Take me out to the ball game!

The River Cats are playing the Portland Beavers. I had to call my son and daughter in law who live in Portland and tease them about that. It was a funny coincidence!

We bet a nickel on the game. Well, *I* bet a nickel. And we will be seeing them next weekend, so I can pay up if I have to.

Well, I gotta go start my pizza dough. Later!

How funny, everone at Hubby's work here is going to a baseball game tomorrow night too. The line from Alabama's song Cheap Seats always gets stuck in my mind when I think our our team.
"Our ball club may be minor league but at least it's triple A".
Flat beer and dogs with mustard and relish will be tomorrow nights fancy dinner!

I bet you love all the great new veggie stuff, it really broadens the things you can enjoy while following your traditions!

Who's now craving a hot dog...and popcorn. I don't know why, but they go together.

Hello! I just wanted to apologize for not giving you my address site earlier, the thing is I just found out that there is a "review" link on the staff page at TWR. Sorry! I left my address and the site in the comment section after your post.
You are very welcome by the way and I like the new template :o)

Hope you enjoy the game, but pardon me if I hope we win. :)

Are you coming back up here or are they going south?

Pizza is delicious in the summertime. I can't say that I am thrilled with veggie pepperoni, yuck. Maybe you could find some kosher ham (hehehee). (That is my grandfather's type of corny humour). There is nothing in the world like fresh herbs right from the garden. A nice side dish is sliced tomatoes with mozzarella chunks drizzled with olive oil and a good vinegar; Sprinkle some basil and oregano and your done.

    Happy Eating! Bogo

OK, what is the difference between freezer jam and canned jam in regards to level of difficulty of making it, taste, and any other detail I'm unaware of as an uneducated wannabe-canner.

When I last visited my sister, she added my name to the list of users on her puter. She informed me that I had 500 pieces of mail, mostly DD. She offered to try to forward one of the DD entries to me, and this is it.

    So...how did the game go?

    Shalom
