Easily Amused

Sunny and I brought a stone home today from the creek bank. It was the very one we needed to make our experimental Stone Man for the back yard.
I saw one of these (only larger) in some pictures of a home for sale in Canada some time ago. I thought it was clever and fun looking. So I wanted to see if I could make one too.
Here he is, guarding the feverfew plants under the peach tree:

Hey, that's an inukshuk! Try googling that word and be amazed. The Inuit build them as messages to others that they have been there. Inukshuks are often massive and you wonder how they could possibly lift stones that big. We see them built all along the roadsides, in parks, yards, etc. The symbol is also part of the logo for the Olympics to be held in Vancouver in 2010.
