Walk Don't Run
Mon Oct 07 2013

Well, it's official. I can't live a busy life and blog at the same time. Which means I think, in the colloquial vernacular, I can't chew gum and walk. I balanced out my universe a little by baking bread yesterday. But the effects didn't last. I need to find some other grounding activity today to keep my gyroscope spinning on its axis. Wonder what that will be? Any suggestions?   PS: In response to a few comments…. I don't want you to think I'm some kind of speed knitter... Those projects were completed on two flights and couple of days in a motel.  :-)   lime wild

Gardening? Knitting? Reading? No scratch reading. You can't do that with other people in your house who like to talk. Hmmmm. Guess I'm out of ideas.

Ok, this is going to sound odd, but you could find some remaining tid-bit from the garden and ferment it. I have discovered it is a rather satisfying process to make sauerkraut or other lacto-fermented goodies. It does tend to bring out the mad scientist, but that may be why it is so satisfying........ and fun. :)

I still think you are a speed knitter. I would never knit such lot in a such a short time span! oh and I forgot to mention - i do not knit at all ;-) so to me what you've done is "nitty" enough anyway ;-) you can play a musical instrument...or just listen to someone else playing. I found a music as a background of whatever I happenned to be doing changes the speed of time perception.

I'm watching Ancient Aliens and crocheting...while I have a cold and a sprained ankle. How weird is that?

May sound backwards and a little too much like hard work for some, but I have found quilting by hand to be very therapeutic and good for balancing the brainwaves. Currently working on a Van Gogh piece which just adds and extra element of fun deciding which bits to highlight. Have also done a few random 'jigsaw' quilt bits lately where you basically make up a 9 inch square from sewing together tiny scraps. Its fun and makes sure no piece gets wasted no matter how small. We all need a purpose in life I guess and helping small scraps of fabric find theirs seems to be my calling! We all have our little peculiarities I guess as I am also midway through proofreading a psychology assignment so yeah, quite a mix!
