Most of the time I am a pretty... 'close is good enough' sort of person. I think. I may have to do a little research and find out if that is a true perception on my part. Friends should be consulted for their opinion. I'll get back to you.
But let's just say, for our purposes here, that is the general rule.
However. Occasionally, for some really unknown reasons, I go full blown OCD. And sometimes it lasts for days.
I'm right in the middle of an OCD phase right now. For two days I have been in a 'This Place Needs a Tidy UP' feedback loop. I don't have before pictures, but this is what my front porch looks like now...
I issued eviction notices on every blade of grass in every crack of the cement and around the oak tree. I stopped short of using tweezers. But the thought DID run through my mind. :-) It looked like a jungle before.
Today, it was the room of requirement that felt the sting of the OCD Cupcake. Many, many objects left my house today. And some of the sweep spilled over into the kitchen too. We are planning a family yard sale in the next few months and I am taking this opportunity to clear out things that have been gathering dust in my cupboards, and taking up room in my psyche.
(I could see where more than ten or twelve things might clutter up the limited space you have in there.)
Well, it must not be TOO limited. To my everlasting annoyance, there always seems to be room for you.
Anyway, I can see at least two more day's worth of slightly crazed sorting happening around here. And it won't have anything as romantic and exciting as being sorted into Ravenclaw either. More along the lines of.... 'Can someone tell me WHY I brought this object into my house again?'
There's one closet I dare not open while all this is going on, and that is my yarn cupboard. I don't want to do something foolish. I'll need to sober up before venturing in there.
(You should just go ahead and sober up on general principles.)
You have no sense of self preservation, do you?
