Saturday was a day of preparation. Me and Michelle went to Wal-Mart and bought stuff like a BBQ grill and beach towel. We also picked up some food and a disposable camera. The only bad things about Saturday was the discrimination we faced. On the way to Wal-Mart, there is this group of black teenage girls. They ALWAYS have something to say to Michelle. They say curse words and other insults simply because we're walking by. As I thought about it, they wouldn't say that if Michelle was black. They also wouldn't say anything if we were old. I'm thinking of getting the cops involved because they are overly harrassing for nothing. The other discrimination happened on the bus. We had a full push cart *the kind you buy* of stuff from Wal-Mart when I asked the bus driver if he could pick me up using the ramp. He refused. He said I wasn't old. Normally, I would just lug it up and have no problem with it, except for the fact that not to long ago the cart broken and is now very fragile. Anyways, we end up having to lug it on and he was saying stuff like he had to go. I'm thinking how rude he is. If I was disabled or something, I bet he wouldn't have said anything.
On Sunday we finally go to the beach and bring out BBQ grill. It was hard to find a place to set up but I seen this little spot near this Mexican family. All we needed was a little of thier room because they had plenty. So I tell Michelle to play the nice needy girl role and hopefully they'll listen. Well she is talking to this guy and he barely speaks a lick of English. So then I bust out some Spanish and luckily I remember how to say everything good. He helps and is very pleasent about it.
We set up shop and I have to build the grill. I do that and then we start cooking. Everything tasted delicious. I was snapping pics of everything and glad I bought it. We eat a lot but were short on drinks. We survived though. While we're laying there, we see this kitty pop out the tree. It was watching us but very scared. Michelle then seen it and then she said it wasn't a cat. Atfirst I didn't believe her. Though later I looked at it and saw it looked like a cat mixed with a squirel or something. I tried to catch a pic of it but it got to scared and I couldn't get a good closeup.
Things were going well until I dropped the camera into the river. I got very upset and Michelle tried to comfort me. Eventually I felt alright because the flash worked. I'm not sure if it works, but I'm going to keep taking pics with it and try to develop it. It was only in the water for about 4 seconds. If it works, I will post it here online.
Here I am at college feeling tired and a little down. It's back to reality for me. I seen a lot of associates around, but no friends. Don't have time for them, which really sucks. I wonder how long I could continue to put my friendships on hold until they fizzle. That is all. ~END~
