So we arrive there and Michelle is being fussy. She wants to sit while me and her sister Hing *whom we decided to take with us* wanted to take pics of the place. After working that out, it worked out okay. We got some front of the line passes which was totally worth the extra $38 each. We ended being able to go on many of the rides and shows they had. Actually, many of the rides were just special effect rides. Like the "Back 2 the Future ride", you sat in a mock car where it appears you are flying around chasing this other car through scenary. It seems real enough, but ofcourse, you never actually go anywhere. It was really fun though.
So after going through most of the rides, Michelle got fussy again because she wanted there to be more rides than the various special effects shows they had. *I was in one of them btw* Me and Hing got upset. It wasn't that we didn't feel the same way but it was more the whining tone that got us upset with her. It was eventually resolved.
It was getting late when we pasted by these auditions for Fear Factor. Michelle and Hing were too scared to go on. I, on the other hand, had always wanted to go on fear factor because I always felt as though I could win. Sure enough, I passed the weigh in *you have to be over 110lbs and less than 220lbs* and you had to enthusiatistically tell the camera why you wanted to win. Then, you were informed that you would be eating nasty things as part of the challenge and were given an option to leave. A couple of people left after that. That left me and 5 other contestants. We had to fill out all kinds of forms and were told that we had to follow a whole lot of instructions very closely. Plus, we had to wear spandex. Ugh, I didn't like that as I am not that physically fit. So we go up to the dressing room and I have to wear these spandex shorts with a tight fitting shirt. *I felt uncomfortable* I then had a harness strapped to me.
Before the first stunt, we were back stage and you could hear the roar of the audience. *yeah, they present it in front of a very large crowd* That was nerve racking. I was literally shaking before hand. I was scared but not frightened. I heard chatter from the other 5 contestants that they were sweaty too. So we run onstage to say our names to the audience. We then encountered the first stunt. We were to go up approximately 2 and a half stories to a ledge. There was a bar you were to hang off of. The first two people to fall were too be eliminated. The audience starts counting as the ledges will drop when they say 3. I take deep breathes and pretend I'm really playing for $50,000. For some reason, you only play for some tickets, a priority pass and a fear factor shirt.
The ledges drop and we're all hanging at the same time. I'm as calm as a rock. I'm ready to hang for 10 minutes if I have to. 30 seconds later, I hear the host mention that one person has fallen. Then 15 seconds later, another falls. I know I am safe but I continue to see if I could win. More continue to drop. Its me and someone else as I hear the host say that I look calm while the other guy's arms are jiggly. He then drops. Its only been a minute and a half and they all fell? I think to myself. I am then instructed to let go. I let go and I'm scared as hell as I fell like I'm gonna fall straight to the ground. Moments before I hit the ground, the harness slows my fall. I hear that I've won the first round and I'm surprised and happy.
I am rushed offstage. I am then told to unstrap the harness and change helmets. I see two people going back to the dressing room say congradulations to me. I'm nervous because I wasn't sure what the second stunt would entail exactly. I knew I'd have to eat something gross. I run onstage with the 3 other people. I am strapped by my hands to this thing I have to unspin from. I am to then but my hands into a tank full of leeches and grab some flags. I am then to put my flags on this post. However, underneath the post, it is spinning *and as I later find out, very slippery* After putting my 3 flags onto the post, I am to drink what they blended. They blended fish gizzards, roachs, crickets, and some old milk.
After the audience counts down, I spin myself to unleash myself from the straps. I run and get the first 2 flags relatively easily. The 3rd flag is when I got freaked a bit by the sight of the leeches but still grabbed the flag. I then run on the spinning platform and almost slip. I am able to put it on. One other person is already drinking the 2 cups of nastiness. I get there and knock one down. The stage manager motions me to the someone elses cup as they weren't there yet. I drink the 2 cups and I make it into the finals. Immediately after, I am starting to taste it in my throat, mouth and stomach. I am feeling like barfing. I walk off stage and spit a lil piece out and the host makes a lil remark. They then give me some mouthwash backstage and a bag to spit in. I still feel like crap but I had to hurry to the final stunt. We then get suited up with earplugs and some yellow suit. We are told that we would have to spin these balls so that they could power some gauge. However, as we got closer to wining, we would be shocked electrically.
It didn't sound as bad as the 2nd stunt. However, as I started to spin, those electric shocks bothered the crap out of me. I had to keep releasing the balls because that crap really hurted. I'm spinining and spining and next thing I know I'm flung into the air. For a second I think I won. However, I see the host congradulating the other guy. I'm like crap. I'm just hanging in the air while his daughter and girlfriend come onstage. I am then very angry for losing and getting NOTHING. I'm backstage and I fling my mouthpiece on the floor. I'm ticked. Everyone in the clothing area is congradulating the other guy. I am just changing back into what I came with. I leave and see Michelle. All I could think about is how I should've sucked it up.
It's dark and Michelle's dad is ready to pick us up. Michelle wanted to get us a cartoon sketch of me and her but we simply didn't have time. The day ends but even in my dream that night, I dream of playing and this time winning fear factor.
I was surprised *as were others* that I could even get that far on the show. I am well-known as a picky eater yet I ate that nastiness. I get fairly brave when I'm competitive. I don't think I could do something like that again unless there was something on the line.
Michelle's sister Hing has some pictures but she hasn't developed them yet. I'll upload them when I get the chance. That's all for now.

Sorry you didn't win anything in the end :(
I hope you enjoyed yourself anyway.
Also, I loved the special effects things! We did Disney as well (we've also done the one in LA), & the rides are very kiddie.
*hugs*
