Mon Apr 18 2005 - Finally, a break
Finally, a break
Yesterday started with me waking up at 7AM. Had to go to get the MRI. My mom takes me. This is great because it would've took me forever to get there on the bus because it was an early Sunday. ANyways, I get there and the place looks state-of-the-art. I actually don't think I've ever been so impressed with a design. So I wait and finally I go in with Michelle.

They give me and Michelle earplugs and I got to lay in the tunnel. I hear a bunch of noises as usual. The best way to describe the noises is to say that they sound like a nuclear attack is about to occur. I don't know how kids are able to go in that thing, I'd be terrified. I eventually get out and go home.

From there, I'm way too tired to go to church so I sleep. I wake up and I'm HUNGRY with a capital H. Michelle convinces my mom to take us to this diner where they serve great tasting but cheap steak. We eventually get taken there and eat up a storm. For a family of 5 to get completely full off at a restaurant for only 32 dollars is awesome. So we go home and rest a lil more.

We then go do some laudry and this old guy's house. He's my mom's friend that she met not too long ago. Yeah, its odd going to do some wash at some guy my mom just met not too long ago, but that's how she is. The guy got grumpy when he thought we broke his dryer. We fixed it eventually. Couldn't stay too long because it was already 10PM.

We get home and I play video games. Michelle is pulling an all nighter. In all was a nice day. Though I got whooped on counter strike as a sniper. I dunno, I'm just not good at sniping. So overall it was a nice day. My mom actually acted like a mom for a change. So finally, I get a good break, though today I have to go to some extra classes I added because I'm short 3 units, which would cost me money if I don't take them. *the logic?* Minimum 9 units for a scholorship and for finacial aid.

So yeah, not one of my more interesting entries but it's what happened. I was thinking about some social issues. My favorite subject. I love to question what is going on. If I ever do anything special, it'll be related to social stuff. Hopefully, I discover something new and cool. Even still, I think I know the why of things, but I don't how to solve problems yet. . I am an avid reader of advice columns and other psychology stuff like Dr. Phil and I don't think I can give dead on advice yet. In the meanwhile, I guess I'm stuck to comments. The funny thing about comments though is that the best ones come from the heart, not from the logic.

One thing I've noticed too is that personal stories work. My communication teacher said that one reason Jesus became so popular is that he was a magnificent story teller. Plus, he knew how to relate it to them. Thus, he used parables about farming to get to his audience. So I think somehow I must incorporate some of those qualities into my advice. Anyways, I got to check on Michelle, later.
