I get there and tells me to take a deep breath. She then grabs my face and says "Your adorable but you can't be a philosphy tutor." I ask why not. She didn't want me tutoring both English and Philosophy. I told her I was capable of doing both. She said her value is that the tutor should only focus on one subject. I told her that I needed the money especially because I'm on my own and don't have parental support. She says, "Sorry, but I have to stick to my values" I say, "I understand that but I REALLY need this money" She says that I can blame her for my finacial situation if I wanted, but that is her stand. I told her that I"m not blaming her for any finacial situation but that I just want those hours so I could survive. She is like, "Sorry darling, maybe next semester if you take my world religon class and only tutor Philosophy." So I leave.
I am pissed as hell at the whole thing. I get back to the counter and tell the clerk that I can't tutor philosophy. She starts to laugh. I ask if I can do English walk-ins. She says, "um, Joanne is out to lunch so I dunno, I guess not" She laughs some more. I say, "Can I ask what is so funny about that" She says, "Oh nothing". I say, "So I'm not going get paid" She says, "I guess not" I leave really pissed. I don't know what her problem was. I do know MIchelle complained about her in the past. However, I won't take her crap. Two can play this little game.
So now I'm off for the day since the rest of the day was philosophy people. That irks me like hell. I hate how people can be so stubborn. Especially my ex-professor. She WAS my favorite professor too. I mean, I was almost sure that her of all people would be understanding and flexible. Anyways, that's it for now
