In the ideal world, looks wouldn't matter one bit. I'd be able to talk to anyone and date them because of personality. But in reality, life is harsher. TO be able to love someone, you must first feel like approaching em. Would you approach a burnt victim for a date. What about someone three times your size. THere's got to be limits. SOmething you can feel comfortable with. Someone who you can say, wow, nice personality, yet, keeps me from looking at cute girls. *or guys in your case* And, I care what society thinks of me and my girl. YEs, I'm a wimp that way. It just matters to me. I don't want my friends laughing at me. I want someone that is atleast near my equal. Why not. I want true love as much as anyone else, at all costs, but part of true love "for me" is about attraction.
