So today, I'm here playing with lil tinoz and my mom calls me. She tells me that Vanessa (my lil sister) was spitting up blood and other brown stuff, had really bad pain on the right side of her head and what I am told is a really bad case of conjunctivitis. *that's fancy talk for pink eye* She says my lil brother looked online and couldn't figure it out. I listened and advised some ibuprofen, eye drops and rest. They go to the hospital emergency room.

They wait for over 6 hours I'm told. There, I guess they say she has some sort of really bad virus. I ask my mom, uh, what kind of virus. (she is absolutely horrible at remembering specfics) They said her chest was fine but had some sort of issues with her head and that they need to scan it, but didn't have the device there. (Here I thought MRI and Pet scan machines were ubiquitous) Maybe for the better, as she has no insurance . Except for passing out unconscious or an arm falling off, I think they had no business there. So, now I'm told that the down payment will be $500. The rest is supposed to be much more.

My mom and the rest of them combined probably don't have $500 in their savings account. There is no way I could bail them out of this one; I just don't have it like that. I advised them to immediately apply for Medi-cal and hope they get it retroactively, though I doubt they will. I have no idea what they do to you when you can't pay, but I suppose we will find out.

When she is up tomorrow, I will have more details as to what is actually the problem and what device she needs to be scanned with. I'm upset at the whole situation. Though I hope she's ok though.
