Note to my Sister
Thu Jul 22 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU..........

I sent you a card (which I've had for two weeks) yesterday, and a small (very small) gift. By my usual efficient way, time got away from me, but I'm thinking about you and wishing you many more happy years.

Sure wish I could get this Messenger thing working so we could be chatting. But you're probably out to dinner with your lovely, thoughtful daughter, anyway.

To the rest of my readers...Marian isn't a diarist, but any comments or good wishes you want to make here, she will read here. Yes, she does read me, but has declined to become a diarist herself.

So, happy birthday, Sister. Maybe we can make it a joint affair next year.

LOTS AND BUNDLES OF LOVE.

Happy Birthday, Marian! Best wishes for a wonderful year to come. I don't know you, exactly, of course, but I know Chaya well, and from what I DO know of you I'd hazzard a guess that we would be good friends, as well. We have much in common, and someday I hope we will get a chance to meet.
    Hugs and Birthday Love,
    ~Cali
P.S. Chaya, how sweet of you to do this wonderful birthday greeting!

happy birthday to your dear sister!!! :))

ryc: yes, i dearly wish i had a power washer, or for us, a waterblaster. i've been meaning to buy one for the longest time but am finally coming to the conclusion that maybe its more worthwhile simply to hire one. don't worry, i didn't do the entire house with a scrubbing brush, just trouble spots ;)

as for that fungi, its been growing very peacefully in my garden, and now i notice there are actually 2 of them!!

Happy Birthday Marion! All the best to you. *smile*

On the zucchini casserole recipe, I was also thinking about making it vegetarian. You could do it easily with the soy burger substitute, or also by adding in some yellow squash I would think. I'd prefer it without the meat myself.
