What was I going to write about today?  Oh, yes. Banshee. I took him to the Vet for his second "varnish" treatment, and will take him back again for a 3rd in about a month.  I'm giving him CET toothpaste to help prevent plaque buildup again, and heal his very inflamed gums. Poor guy. I can't figure why his gums and teeth are in such bad shape when he eats the same food Missy does.  Her mouth is in perfect shape.

These cats are costing me more than my kids ever did. Oh, well...we had health insurance for the family. That does make a difference. So I've been looking into health insurance for the cats. I'm not sure I can afford it. Or maybe I can't not afford it.  We'll see.

On the way home, I stopped at the Chevron station Gryffan manages.  Just to say Hi.  As I was walking in the door, I heard someone call my name.  When I turned around, I was so surprised, I couldn't remember her name. My mouth just hung open. Part of the reason was her appearance. Very clean, but tatted to a fare-thee-well, and pierced. Nose. Mouth. Ears. Eyebrow. Multiple times.  And her teeth were grayish yellow. Not dirty, I don't think, just discolored, from what I can't say. I can guess it's from the drugs she's done.

When I was finally able to get my voice, and I said to Gryffan, "You remember D... J...... ?"  "Of course, I remember him," Gryffan replied.  "This is his daughter."  And she exclaimed, "You know my Dad?" And I still couldn't recall her name, but I remembered her daughter's name.  No wonder grandpa wanted to adopt the child.

I called my friend and left a message, but he hasn't called me back.  Maybe tomorrow.

And in other news....Lynn called this evening and said she had an 8 Ayem doctor appointment, and could I take the girls to school. To make that early an appointment, she should leave the girls here by 0715.  I told her to call my cell phone in the morning. I'll have it by my bedside, and I'll get up and unlock the door. Then the girls can wake me again when it's time to take Nicole to school. Is there a Braille system of driving? I can be well awake by time to take Caitlin to school, but Nicole's school starts an hour earlier than Caitlin's.  

*sigh*  So I guess I should be headed for bed now.
