I can't believe how these girls have wormed their way into my heart.  I really miss being with them after school.  So, I called Lynn and asked if I could pick them up one at a time after school, every once in awhile, until she goes back to work and I'm with them again.

She said fine.

I called Caitlin last night and asked her if she'd like to hang out with me a bit after school.  Sheesh! She almost came thru the telephone wires: Yes yes!  I asked when, and she said tomorrow.  So I picked her up after school today.

So we went to a little cafe and had some stuff to eat and drink, and we chatted. Well, mostly she chatted. She's all agog over a boy, and it seems he likes her too.  They're going to go to the Valentine's Day dance at school.

Ah, puppy love. Isn't it wonderful?  Remember your first love, maybe in first grade?  I do.

Yeah, Caitlin, I know  you're reading this. I know your feelings are real, but I can't help smiling when I remember.....

When I took her home, I asked Nicole if she'd like to hang out with me next Friday.  She gets out at 3:00, and we'll have about 45 minutes until time for Caitlin to get out of school.  I'll take them both home then.

Caitlin gave me a hug as I was leaving, and she exclaimed that she's taller than I am.  It's true.  She's grown an inch or so over the last month.  OK, so I'm the runt again.   Oh, no I'm not. I'm still taller than Nicole.

The microwave has been properly kashered and is now ready to kosherly cook/reheat my food.  So, I'm going to have a baked potato, and something else, not determined yet.
