Yes, now I know how much my life is worth. Or at least how much it cost to keep me alive. Remember the aortic aneurysm and the stent?
I got a statement from the hospital today.
$247,749. You read that right. Two hundred forty-seven thousand, seven hundred forty-nine dollars.
My co-pay? $240.
I'll never again complain about the cost of my medical insurance.

- From:Camomille (Legacy)On:Wed Jun 21 2006Wow . . . that is amazing! I just always think they pad the amounts so much realizing insurance companies will pay . . . driving insurance costs up and causing some not to be able to afford it . . . *sigh* Yes, I have a social democratic view on the subject. I can also see how those without insurance can lose everything if they do have an emergency such as yours. Your insurance is definitely well worth having!

Alli - From:CovertOps (Legacy)On:Fri Jun 23 2006Well... that's enough to give ME an acute myocardial infarction!
I'll never complain about the cost of medical insurance again, too. It's a good investment. I don't think my life savings could ever come up to $247,749 anyway.
Love the funky icons -- highly appropriate, that shocked face!
