Anyway, she feels very positive about the test. I asked her if she aced it, and she said "Not quite, but pretty close." Now we just have to wait two-three weeks to see if she's called in for an interview.
Now, the interview won't be a problem. She's very good at giving interviewers the answers they want to hear. I've mentioned her "people skills" before, and she's very good at quieting potentially difficult situations. This will be an asset (presuming she gets the job) when somebody wants to tear her head off for ticketing a vehicle in a handicap spot without a DP license plate or placard hanging from the rear view mirror.
Oh, that reminds me of a joke I heard a long time ago. Seems there was this woman who became quite incensed at the non-handicapped people who parked in handicap places. So she had a "ticket" made up with instructions about the availability of these spaces for particular people. Then the bottom line read--"Oh, I see. It's a mental handicap."
I wonder how many people actually got the point.

I'm copping a line from TraumaMama here, but I really need to get some laundry done. The underwear drawer is getting bare. That's always a sign.
Also, I have a brit milah to go to tomorrow. A couple had their fourth child recently (actually a week ago). A boy after three girls. The brit will be performed at the shul, so it's just a quick walk over there. But what a celebration it will be! His name will be officially proclaimed at the ceremony, too.
One of the ladies at the shul is going to give mom a baby shower, as she has no boy things. I guess I'll have to get out the old crochet hook and find some nice boy baby yarn. A crib blanket maybe? Haven't made up my mind yet. But I'd better get started on it soon.

#2 son told me to stay home today as a new computer was supposed to be delivered here for Megan. It didn't come. I'll have to check first thing in the morning to see if my neighbor will accept delivery if it should happen to come while I'm away at the shul. Would that just be my luck?
Bless his heart, I don't think he's going to let me pay for it. I know I can't just walk into a computer store and buy a CPU, keyboard, monitor, printer, and all the programming. Those stores don't have charge accounts. At least any that I've dealt with so far. Anyway, I did say I'd pay for it in monthly instalments if he would deliver. But in his usual grumpy way, he said "Forget about it." Now is he doing it for me or his sister, or both?
Despite his crusty, surly exterior, he really is a sweet marshmallow.
Well, I guess I've revealed enough family secrets for now. I know A would be very unhappy with me if he knew I had blown his cover to all and sundry.
Shalom, all.............
