I'm home again for the third time. Pain arrived again. I called 911 the evening of 25 December, and arrived back home yesterday the 29th.
This time it seems to have been infection in the abdominal wall. Massive doses of antibiotics. Again. A germ wouldn't dare come near me!!
To say that I'm entirely fed up with pain, hospitals and IVs is putting in mildly. If the food weren't so good, I'd say it was a total waste of four days.
Had no success at all explaining to a nurse why Sinemet and Neurontin had to be given together and early in the beginning of the twitches, The conversation was totally non-productive. Another nurse overheard, and she got it right, and I got my medication correctly and within a few minutes. The first nurse also got the bedtime dose all mixed up with the PRN doses. *sigh*
Had three MRIs in two days. Somebody was worried about the aortic stent that was put in three years ago. Could be a source of bleeding, but it was intact, and there was no bleeding anywhere. Somebody else wanted to find the source of the infection, but the MRIs weren't helpful there. At least not to the extent of finding hot balls of infection floating around my innards.
I would hate to see the bill that's going to AARP/Secure Horizons.
For sure, I'll not complain about the amount taken out of my Social Security check that goes to the HMO. There has to be a whole lot of healthy people in the program to support my problems!
I had a shower, shampoo, and shaved my legs this morning. Ah, heaven. I don't have a lot of hair on my legs, but it grows long. About the length to braid before I shaved this morning.
Had visitors this morning and early afternoon. I love to have visitors, but I find it wearying too. I have to do my own cooking now. Nobody to bring my meals to me on a tray. And I have to put away the clean dishes and put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Do my labors never end?!
On that sad query, and with a tremendous yawn, I bid y'all goodnight.
Bless
