Boy-oh-boy, is she a redhead!!!
I guess it was the excitement of seeing My Baby, but I was awake at 6:30 am, and try as I might, I couldn't go back to sleep. So, with all the getting ready and stuff, I was on the road by 11:00. I did it non-stop from Sacramento to 10 miles beyond Santa Rosa city limits. Two hundred fifty miles, or thereabouts. NEVER again!!!
My right ankle was swollen and hurt as if it were sprained from being in the same position for something just under three hours. My back hurt and my hips hurt, and it was such a relief to get into an upright position.
DiDi was awake when I arrived, and she said Gammie right off. Can't quite get the Rs yet. And the first thing she said to me was UP! Gryffan handed her over, and that kid weighs a ton. She's not fat, but is baby-rounded. She's a big, healthy, happy baby. Babbles a blue streak. I can understand some of her words, but not all.
Tracey and Gryffan needed to do some grocery shopping and wondered if I would mind babysitting. Mind!? What did I come over here for? I got some pictures of her, but somehow, my camera lost them. Have to start all over tomorrow.
I hope I can figure out why the camera keeps losing my pictures.
DiDi is a very bright child. Yes, I'm her g-grammie, and of course I would think so, but she really is. She puts sentences together, and she's not two years old yet. She's learning sign language. She knows a joke when she hears one (if it's on her age-level, of course), she has a wonderful laugh, she can count to ten, but not necessarily in order. She knows her letters, but can't say them in order yet. And she's the sassy one. She's going to be a real handful when she's a teenager!
Oh, did I mention that she has red hair?
I hope I can get some good pix of her tomorrow to post here.
Bless
