I have a new cat. He's a purebred Burmin, 9 weeks old, born on Mother's Day. His hind feet have snowshoes, but his two front paws have white on the middle toes, only. So, Toesies. He already has his points, and they'll be sable when he's older. Prettiest blue eyes!!
We went to the Vet today, and maybe another appropriate name would be my THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR CAT. He has to go back in three weeks for another worming pill and feline leukemia medicine, and in six months he'll be neutered.
He and Banshee haven't exactly come to a meeting of the minds yet, but both have spent the afternoon sleeping. Toesies spent some time sleeping on my shoulder, but he's like wearing a mink collar. I had to put him in his kitty bed.
At least temporarily, Toesies' food and water bowls, and his litter box are in Rowena's room. When I'm away, I've fixed the doorway so Banshee can't get in the room, but the door is open so there's plenty of circulation. I won't leave them alone together until I'm sure they're ready to get along. At least when Banshee is ready to get along. Toesies does a good job of hissing and arching, but he's no match for an almost two-year-old cat.
Did I mention that he's beautiful?
My bedtime is usually Banshee's activity time, and I expect Toesies will follow suit.
The Vet gave me three different kinds of baby kittie kibbles to see which one Toesies likes best. That I'll give him until he's a grown-up boy, or at least when he has his permanent teeth. Those baby teeth a sharp little needles.
He has learned to untie my shoelaces, but he also manages to dig those little needles into my ankles while he's playing with the laces.
The sun is beating into the window by my puter, so I'm going to the living room where the cooler is doing its thing.
Shalom
