Finally was able to get in to see my doctor. He's cut back his working days to three a week, so he gets backlogged quickly. Anyway, I got a referral for physical therapy. If that works out, then we'll go from there. If not, I guess an orthopedist is next on the list. For a number of reasons, I don't want surgery, so I'm hoping PT is the answer.
Good news, though. My glasses are good for another year. That's seven years without a lens change.
And some bad news, of course. Got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot. And then had 48-hour flu. Aching in all the joints, headache, running on both ends. Never had that reaction before. But never had both shots at the same time, either. I'll keep that in mind.
Granddaughter Rowena is now officially 16 years old. But Sweet Sixteen, she ain't. Oh, she's not a bad girl; don't get me wrong there. But sweet? Megan's daughter? eh!! Oh, that's not nice. She's a lovely young woman when she wants to be.
Megan says "I can't give her Disneyland, but I can give her a weekend with her friends." So. Their home is filled with teenage girls, and I can find it in my heart to be a little sympathetic with Megan. I hope Rena cuts her Mom some slack when Mom decides to be Mom another day. This weekend I'd say she racked up a bunch of Brownie Points.
Bless
