I have a cuckoo clock that goes KU five minutes before the hour, and KUKKUKKUKK five minutes before the half hour. And the KUKKUKKUKK doesn't necessarily sound the number of KUKKs that would count the actual hour.

We're still working on some sort of compromise. If not on the hour, then at least the correct number of KUKKs.
