Aftermath of Owww!
Mon Nov 03 2003

Well, I thought I was taking care of the bruising by the conscientious application of ice bags to the injured part.

It worked only part way.

The bump itself is very pale blue, with a very red center where the skin was broken. But all along the left side of my nose and part of my eyelid are DEEP PURPLE. And it's spreading under my eye. I'm going to be a beaut tomorrow.

Maybe I should find a pirate's eyepatch until this is over.

UGLEEEE! I look like I did a round with -- who's the latest heavyweight boxer? --- Yeah, him.

---------------
Finally broke down and bought a cell phone. All I want is to be able to call 911 or my daughter if my car breaks down on the freeway at midnight. Oh, yes, and I need to sign up with AAA.

Now I have to go read the directions. My daughter put her phone number in the directory, but now I have to figure out how to ring her. Technology, here I come. Crawling.

before you join AAA make sure you do not have emergency roadside coverage on your car insurance. Call your agent and find out. Many times it is much more affordable than an auto club and will pay for the same things.

I've always wanted a shiner. I think it'd make me look macho. Like a badge of machismo, or something. Wanna trade places?
Hope you heal fast! Take plenty of rest. Get well soon, dear Chaya!

Will you playing videogames with your phone? I understand there are some neat ones now. (not like the silly crab one we have on ours. I'd rather pluck nose hairs than waste time on that one.)

Hope the swelling goes down. That sounds nasty.

    Dear Chaya,
I do hope your wound heals soon and the bruising fades quickly, It does sound nasty! I wish you well with learning to drive your new cell phone too, lol. Lucky gave me one about 6 weeks ago and I'm still figuring it out. Like you, I really only want it for if the car breaks down, or some other problem arises when I'm out.

Thankyou very much for your response to my request for help, for the support group lady, yesterday. You're very kind and your help is much appreciated. *smile*
Take care, (((hugs))) and 'bye for now, Kelpie.

Sounds like you have a right shiner!

Good luck with the phone, you know that you are on a slippery slope, I first had mine for 'emergencies' to dial 999 or my DH, now it is like my right arm...

    Who'd ever thought....Pragmatist with a shiner :P

Cell phones are getting harder than computers to figure out....and more expensive. I wish now that I had never become dependent on one. I will NOT though connect to the internet on mine. I had all those features disabled quickly.
