Another week
Mon Dec 27 2004

Not much to report about today. Ran the dishwasher and got a start on the chaos in the guest room. I can see the progress, but I doubt anyone else could.

Started crocheting a new shawl. Probably send it to my sister because it's her color. Want to get to the yarn store so I can get some more of the charcoal wool yarn. Very full schedule lately, and personal errands have been put on the back burner.

Terrible news from SE Asia. That undersea quake that caused the devastating tsunami was all over the news this evening. Two DDers I know live in the area that I thought might have been affected, but thankfully, they've both let me know that they're safe.

Got a really nice day-planner with some holiday gift money. Now I have everything I need in one place. Phone numbers, calendar, addresses. All that junk we seem to collect.

OK. Ocean's Eleven (the remake) is on in a few minutes, and I'm gonna go watch. I saw the original, so I'll probably be very critical, but all that hunky stuff will be nice to look at!!

Shalom

    Hunky stuff indeed! ;-)

I don't know a thing about Oceans Eleven... might have to check it out...

    C. wants to go get yarn too. We should see if we could get a group rate!

Looks like the start of my week will be shoveling a few paths of heavy snow, we have about 10" of wet snow and a number of smaller trees bent over almost touching the ground. Seems like a repeat of this time last year, however we sure had a lot more DRY snow then 20" one day and 18" the next.

The worry is when the power lines start to unload and the trees and the high line and distrubution lines slap togather and the fire works start. At least we are prepared as my new generator will allow us to have HEAT and WATER
plus the two Refig. We need the snow pack in the mountains so not to complain. The interstate I-5 has been a mess for the travlers getting home withlots of fender benders and stuck rigs both large and small.

    Dear Chaya,

Yes we are fine, thank you for your concern, dear friend! I was so touched to read your e-mail this morning.

I didn't know you still look at 'hunky stuff'. I thought we were supposed to outgrow it, so I outgrew it by the time I was 21.

    Lots of Love,
    E.L.

P/S: My birthday is on December 9, 1978.

I was also relieved to find my friends okay from that SE Asia tragedy.
It has been quite a year! Beginning to end.
I went back to your new year message last year. (Somehow).. It was a scramble.. that you substituted letters.. I figured it out quickly since you had happy new year in code under the message.. and it gave me so many hints..
You are a blast my friend

we will never outgrow those hunks. Ocean 11 was good..
I wonder if 12 will be as fun??
    Enjoy the week

Me, I watch tearjerker movies on 'Lifetime'.

I fixed things so you should be able to read easier. *smile*

I need a dayplanner too. That will be my next indulgence, although really it's more of a necessity!

I wish I had one extra room just for storage. Every house should have one.

    Bye for now,
