Yesterday was a pleasant day. We had good food, good company, and watched movies. And talked.
No turkey, but that's ok, cuz I'm a veggie anyway. You might like to try daughter's yummy recipe:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can artichoke hearts
fresh garlic to taste (I think she used 6-7 cloves)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Mix all together. Bake until brown, at whatever oven temperature you think is right. Probably moderate oven will do.
That's it. Serve with chunks of bread. Mmmm. Now isn't that the most difficult recipe you ever saw?
I went to bed about three hours earlier than my usual last night. Missed my afternoon nap, but that was OK, because I was spending nap time enjoying time with my daughter, who isn't around often enough to suit me.
I think my cat is sick again, but I'll have to wait until Monday to take her to the Vet. No, it isn't an emergency (she hopes), but when Miki stops eating, that's a sign something is not quite right.
I have bread rising now. Hope it's ready for dinner before candle lighting tonight. I used a tried and true recipe from my 1943 cookbook, but it's been a long time since I've made bread without a breadmaker. I forgot how much kneading it takes. After all that work, it better be good.
OK, now back to reading mail.
Shabbat Shalom.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the garlic should be thinly sliced. Or pounded. Whatever suits you.
