Cool, windy, and sort of wet
Tue Dec 28 2004

It rained sometime during the night, and sprinkled off and on the rest of the day. The wind was blowing at about 25 mph most of the time. It kept pushing my little car and trying to get me to change lanes on the freeway. I *really* felt the power of the wind when I was driving directly into it.

Harry's appointment at the military clinic went as usual. It's pretty much sign in/called in/and out in less than a half hour. But that clinic isn't affiliated with the hospital that aggravates me so!!

Had a couple errands (replenish my supply of milk, for one), and was home again about 1pm. I like days that go smoothly like that.

My sleep cycle is all messed up. Got some email taken care of, then took a quick nap before IM-time with my sister. Had to log off early as my shoulder was hurting, even with a Tylenol and a heating pad. So I went back to the recliner with the heating pad, and fell asleep for THREE HOURS!

Actually, I'm feeling a little droopy right now, but if I go to bed now, I'll wake up at 5am. And that's just too darned early for a retiree to start the day. I promised myself when I retired that I would not keep farmer's hours any longer. And that I would avoid being on the road during the commuter hours.

Didn't do a stitch on the guest room today. Maybe tomorrow. Nothing else on the calendar, so might as well bite the bullet.

Shalom

I have the movie (love George Clooney) now I really have to watch it. I always tell my friends as long as I was given sight, I am going to take advantage of it.
I have not started straightening up the spare room yet either. I am hoping for a miracle (my daughter cleaning it up herself, lol). Oh well, maybe next week.

I'm trying to get to bed earlier myself. When you think about it, the daylight hours are constantly in a state of flux. Why shouldn't we be also??

Hee hee! Thanks for making me smile, dear Chaya. Yes, I stopped watching, so I hope I'm not going to drop dead anytime soon! I like my bartender. I think he is a lovely man. Does that count?

It rains here every day. In the monsoon season, you bring extra pairs of shoes and sandals to keep your feet relatively dry. Therefore, I don't think I have much to say about your rain. It doesn't rain much in California, does it?

I hope your biological clock turns itself right soon. The Internet can also mess with one's sleep cycle.

I also hope your shoulder is better today.

    Take care, dear Chaya.

    Love,
    E.L.

    LOL
My husband used to tell me .. You are on a diet. You can look but don't touch!

I want to see the rat pack version of ocean 11. I love the rat pack. I watched a movie.. I think it was called the ratpack. Got into all the John kennedy stuff and how involved they all were. What a group of men.
So, I wonder if I can still find the original?
    Hmmm
I got a gift certificate from a dear friend online for Amazon.com. How sweet was that? And I may begin my search there
Hope your shoulder is a bit better. OR all better. I get that too, if I am on my black box too long
So with that I wish you happy Tuesday evening and wed morning..
    ;)

Your sleep cycle would be really messed up if you lived up here. During the winter the sun goes down around 4pm and and doesn't rise until around 9am or so and during the summer the sun rises around 6am and doesn't really set until around midnight at least in Anchorage. Further up north during the summer it's light all day and during the winter it's usually dark most of the day.

Now that would really screw up your sleep cycle.
