Been getting ready in my head for the trip up north. Decided I need a new skirt, so I dyed a bunch of material the blue that I want, and the beginning of a skirt is draped over the sewing machine. Hope I can get it done tomorrow, or at least the first fitting.
I guess I had weather here in mind when I asked Megan if I should pack some shorts. One pair, maybe, as there might be some opportunity for wading. Wading? Pool maybe, but certainly not one of those running streams they have around there. Freeze me tootsies I would!
So I guess I'll take a couple pant suits (wear one on the plane), a couple skirts and blouses, and a sweater. I'll probably wish I had a raincoat at least one day up there. Oh, yes, and a proper go-to-shul outfit for the Saturday I'll be there.
Then I need to portion out the medications I'll need for beyond the week that the daily pill case holds. Don't think I want to pack all those bottles along with me.
Friday night: take the trash out, clean the litter box, make sure the feeder is full. And if my usual cat caretaker bails out on me, make sure there's a running water supply.
Anything else? Maybe I should start making a list.
Bless
One more thing: Stay well. The tickets are non-refundable.

- From:404Error (Legacy)On:Wed Jul 30 2008I would take the pills in their original bottles from the pharmacy if I were you. You don't want to have a bunch of trouble with TSA for having prescription drugs. If you have the bottles it is clear (even to those power-tripping idiots) that the pills are yours. If they aren't in their original containers they may try to say you are smuggling prescription drugs. I realize that it's easy enough to prove with a single call to your pharmacy or MD, however, it could make you miss your plane.
Honestly, I think carrying the bottles are part of "the rules" now.
P.S. I hope you have the best time ever! - From:Mamallama (Legacy)On:Wed Jul 30 2008Good advice from 404 re: the meds. The airlines are all such sticky wickets these days. You certainly don't want any troubles or delays.
I wish you a safe journey and a wonderful time.
Hugs, Tiggs - From:Dreamerbooks2003 (Legacy)On:Thu Jul 31 2008I'll be thinking of you while you are "trippin"..

Flying is more complicated post 9-1-1 and never my fav thing to do.. EVER!! - From:CovertOps (Legacy)On:Thu Jul 31 2008Dear Chaya,
You should! Do make a list. Include your phone, camera, battery chargers, lip salve and moisturizers. And make sure you remember to bring all of it back. That's why a list helps. You check the list to make sure you've got everything and won't inadvertently leave something behind.
Shorts would be good and would take up less space than a pantsuit. I wear shorts practically everywhere.
Please do stay well and enjoy yourself! Really wish I could help with the cats!
Love,
E.L.
