I wasn't going to talk about it.....
Mon Mar 03 2003

I said I wasn't going to talk about the weather because every time I do, it gets nasty again. But I just gotta!!

The poppies are blooming along the freeways and roadways. Bright splotches of happy colors. Trees are in bloom. White, soft pink, mauve. I don't know which fruit trees show which blossoms, except I know the almonds are white. Oh, yes, and the tulip trees are in full bloom. Gorgeous! All these colors with a backdrop of evergreen trees and shrubs.

I noticed some wee, small leaf buds on many of the deciduous trees.

Clumps of yellow daisy-like flowers. I know the name, but can't call it right now. Also, a bush/hedge that is usually green has turned red. All that color!

The sky is clear, haze in the distance, so the snow covered mountains on the horizon are hidden. The breeze is coolish, but the sun is warm. It's an altogether lovely day.

God's world is a real work of art. I just wish humans would help Him keep it that way.

Shalom.

Oh and just read your note on my entry. *smile* We were eating Lacto Ovo vegetarian for over a year. However, recently I have discovered that my weight problem can be best addressed by doing a high protien/low carb diet so I am back to eating meat again, although hubby is sticking to the vegetarian. I admire the kosher eating and the principles behind it. Not sure really why that got lost with Christians. *smile* My sister used to live in Detroit and we would eat at a wonderful kosher deli in Grosse Pointe.

i'm soo glad to have (been) found (by) you as it's wonderful to discover somebody with a nature such as yours right here in the dd neighbourhood
sounds like your fine land is gearing up for spring as ours turns up its collar in preparation for autumn, i'm sad to see summer go but think it only fair that the rest of the world gets a turn!

thanks for your kind comments, it's always a treat finding like-minded people on here, much like unexpectedly happening upon vibrant flowers in bloom
