At Last!!
Thu May 19 2005

Yes, we're really going to dry out here. The five-day forecast has low- mid-80s, and 90! on Sunday.

I guess we're not going to slide into the Pacific after all.

The sun did peek out late afternoon today. But the humidity was reported on the late news at 75%! I do hope that number comes down before Sunday. Hot is bad enough, but hot and sticky is misery.

Oh, what am I talking about. Arizona already has triple digits!

Got some pictures from my son today. He does target shooting, and he included his arsenal in one of the pictures. He'd been out camping and let his beard grow. He looks like some Wild West character. One picture even shows him with a US Marshal's star pinned to his vest.

Also included were pictures of a patio he built in the back yard. When I talked to him on the phone the other day, I told him if he ever gave up nursing he could be a building contractor. Nope, he sez, too hard work! But the patio is gorgeous with greenery all over the place. I'm pretty sure he's the nurseryman there, too. I can't imagine what major project there is left to do on the property. But once a year he does a major improvement--whatever Su wants. They collaborate on the planning and he does the work.

It sure is startling to see that WHITE beard!

He also included a picture of the Woman Who Runs His Life. She's Vietnamese, and dressed in what I think is called a cheongsang. I'm not sure of the spelling, but I think you know what I mean. I've never seen her in anything but Western dress.

If I had a paid account I could post pictures, but I don't, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Today was one of those can't wake up days. I forced myself out of bed because too much pampering can become habit forming.

I guess we're in for TV reruns now. Maybe I'll get some decent reading done. I have a stack of books waiting for me. Some heavy stuff, some fluff. But, gee! I'm going to miss JAG. At least my CSI favorites will be back in the Fall.

I need to do some email catch-up. So, I'll go do that now.

Shalom

Yes the sunshine will be welcome, I need to finish the plumbing in the garden raised beds. Plumbing is not my cup of tea as Murphy's law always takes over. MsDaisy will have to get with the planting and I can move on to other projects
    that never seem to end.
