Took Rowena home yesterday, and the way stopped at Right Aid for ice cream cones. My favorite flavor is Apricot Mango! Mmmmm. Besides satisfying the sweet tooth, it's also refreshing. Like a nice cold glass of lemonade is refreshing. Rowena had Rocky Road.
Trader Joe's has a brand that I haven't seen elsewhere: Double Rainbow. It's labelled as "San Francisco's Official Ice Cream." I especially like the Mandarin Orange Sorbet.
My grandson's birthday is coming up in a couple days. Rowena said he likes cookbooks. So maybe I'll give him a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble or Borders, and he can buy another cookbook. Yes, he likes to cook, and according to Rowena, he's good.
Had trouble sleeping last night, so when KK wanted to play this morning, he got tossed into the bathroom and I went back to bed for another couple hours. His timing is lousy! What is it with that cat? He attacks my bedsheets!!!
KK and Banshee play Pounce in the bathtub. And when Banshee isn't available, KK chases his tail in the bathtub. Sometimes he manages to catch tip of his tail, chews on it for a bit, then the tailchase starts all over again. Idiot cat.
KK does not like kitten food. He wants big boy food, and I don't think he's getting the nourishment he needs. I saw his brother yesterday when I took Rowena home, and he's considerably heftier than KK. But as long as he continues playing Pounce & Chase, attacking my shoelaces, and is generally active, I guess he's getting enough nourishment. But he's long and rangy. No baby fat on him.
I got Harry Potter book 2 yesterday. Rowena couldn't find book 1, but since I'd read several reviews and hype, I figured I knew enough about the boy to start my reading with book 2. So now I'm ready for book 3. Can't say I'm a fan, but I admit that J.K. Rowling has quite an imagination! And I think I'm in love with Professor Dumbledore. What a sweetie he is.
Haven't visited Megan at her new work site, since it's a night shift, but I think I'll ask her to bring Harry Potter #3 with her to work, and I'll drop by sometime around midnight and pick it up. I'm getting pretty stumblebumish about that hour, but I think I'd rather do that than drive way out to her place in the heat of the day just to get a book.
OK, I'm done babbling.
Shalom
