I've been away for awhile. Bronchial pneumonia, but I think we've finally found a combination of stuff that's going to get me back on my feet. The only reason I wasn't in the hospital was that my doctors Physician's Assistant agrees with me that hospitals make people sick.

My doctor is at a medical convention, so I've been in the very capable hands of his PA.

I do an albuterol nebulizer four times a day, and I'm so jittery I had to double my Klonopin just for four hours of sleep--or was it three? A powerful antibiotic just once a day. Advair (brand name) inhaler one puff morning, one puff evening. And albuterol rescue inhaler as needed, but with all that other stuff I haven't needed it.

Oh, yes, and gallons of liquids.

Yesterday (Friday), to go to the doctor's office was the first time in two weeks that I have been out of my jammies and out of bed. Today I got dressed and stayed up most of the day. I'm tired and weak; takes a lot of effort to walk from the living room to the kitchen. I plan to stay out of bed as much as possible and get back some strength.

This is the worst case I've had in so long, I can't remember when I got the nebulizer. It used to be I could count on having bronchitis every winter, along about November, but this is the first winter I've had bronchitis in five years. I guess I'm due for a whammy. Eh? Oh, yeah, the pneumonia to go with it. Double whammy!

I've been reading diaries, but have been unable to leave messages because I changed my mailing address. Then had to get a new ID. All that's taken care of now, and you'll be hearing from me. But it'll take a while cuz I don't have a whole lot of energy.

Shalom

    Hiya!
I am still up here in the fresh air. You would like that, good for the lungs.

Glad to hear you are getting the right meds.
But I still think you would have been better off in hosptal with people waiting on you hand and foot. :-)

    See you soon.

I am sorry to hear you aren't doing well. I had been worried about you with the bronchitis anyway. Have some chickenless soup and hope to talk to you soon.
