Marian called me this evening and reported that she has been moved to a nursing facility, where she will stay until she, the therapists and doctors determine that she can go home safely, and take care of her daily activities on her own. She's thinking a week, but I'd be surprised if it was less than two weeks.
Her son Will is a long-haul trucker, so he's not home very much. When Marian went home the first time Will was still at home recuperating from his surgery, and doing the cooking, housekeeping and laundry, and and and. Now he's back on the road, and Marian found out that she didn't have the strength even to put a meal together.
When surgery was first mentioned, I told Marian I would come to her place and help her through her recuperation until she was able to do for herself. Since Will was home at the time, my services weren't needed. I may be saying hello from Tucson when Marian is allowed to go home this time. We'll see.
Anyway, she's making progress and is grateful for all your prayers and kind thoughts.
Bless
