The rain clouds decided to snuggle up to the mountains to the east. Oh, well. More for the watershed. It would have been nice, though.
The day turned out very nice. Moderate temperature. Nice breeze. Clear skies. This time of year is my favorite. Or spring. I can't make up my mind.
No, wait...I think when the trees are turning in the fall. Or maybe when the first tender green starts to show in the spring.
All I can tell you for sure is that I don't like Sacramento summers!! This past summer was not too dreadful, though. June is usually a transition month, but we had triple digits! July was July. August did not have one day at all of triple digits. Now that's a record. Not that it didn't get hot. It did. Ninety-nine degrees is hot. But it's not triple. So what's one degree???
If we have another winter like last year's I may consider moving to Arizona. Too much rain. Too much dreary skies. Too much gloom. Now, I want you to understand that I like rain, but not every blessed day for a month. Or more. That's what we had last year. Unremitting wet and drear.
Oh, blather. Just because I don't have anything to talk about today, must I talk about the weather?!

- From:Camomille (Legacy)On:Sun Sep 17 2006Hi there! Maybe a move to Arizona would be a good thing. Clouds and rain can be a downer when there is no break at all. I know you don't like snow, but at least it's fresh and bright unlike rain. Not that I'm looking forward to it. Arizona doesn't sound so bad to me either!
How are you feeling? Sleeping okay? I hope all is well.
Love,
~me - From:Dustbunny3 (Legacy)On:Sun Sep 17 2006Yep no rain but we still have three large wildfires and COLD here in the mountains. It was 33 this morning but covered the garden . Don't see any rain for next week and could not stand not hunting for first day of deer season as my hunting buddy was tied up so went alone again and didn't see a deer ,track or sign execpt a bear DO DO so I can sleep for I gave it my all.
Never give up for a chair is not my way . - From:404Error (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 19 2006You know, perhaps you could spend the winters part of the time with your sister and part of the time with your grandaughter in SoCal. Then you could summer up in Washington with Megan. That sounds ideal, to me. You'd get to avoid the cold, leave before the southwestern monsoon season, get pampered by the lovely Kimberly for a bit and then escape the heat in summer. That sounds great! Can I come?
Love - From:Welshamethyst (Legacy)On:Wed Sep 20 2006ryc: I doubt you'd have seen anything in your local paper about floods in N. Indiana. 6K homes flooded isn't national news because it happens every day in some part of America. A levee breaks and the rest is history.
- From:Fairywishes (Legacy)On:Wed Sep 20 2006oh dear I find myself talking about the weather all the time since we have been here, either how good it is here, how bad it is in UK or how heaven forbid there is a grey day here hahaha
thanks for your comments, it is nice to be back!

:/ - From:CovertOps (Legacy)On:Thu Sep 21 2006Dearest Chaya,
If you like rain so much, please do come to the Tropics. The monsoons are driving me bananas. But again, I know you did mention that you like rain in moderation.
It sounds like you are having a very tranquil week.
Wish I were there :o)
Lots of Love,
E.L. - From:404Error (Legacy)On:Fri Sep 22 2006I just stopped by to wish you a good and sweet Rosh Hashanah and shabbat shalom.
