First thing: Banshee. Took him to the vet yesterday for his annual exam and shots, Also got his teeth cleaned. I don't know why his teeth are so plaqued and why his gums are so red. He eats the same thing that Missy does. Her teeth and gums are perfect.
I had to trick the poor boy into the carrier. And he called me all kinds of names when I put him in. And he continued his complaints in the car. His unwillingness to get in the carrier was reversed when it was time to get back in and go home. However, he did have a few things to tell me on the way home. I think he's not speaking to me today.
I have cat toothpaste to give him and some chewies that are supposed to help keep the plaque away. I was told that I don't have to brush, all I have to do is just get the toothpaste in his mouth. That's a lot easier. He's not exactly cooperative.
Banshee is a big boy. He weighs 12 pounds one ounce. Missy is 8 pounds. She abuses him something awful. He will fight back a little, but more often he'll just leave the scene and go hide. Sometimes I'll haul her off, and he'll leave anyway. He's such a wuss.

Two very nice friends came over yesterday and did some housekeeping for me. I count that as a huge mitzvah!!
R did the vacuuming and D cleaned my kitchen.
All that cat hair in the carpets -- GONE! All that mess in the kitchen -- GONE. The pattern in the oriental-style rug is clear again. The pattern in the hallway runner is visible again.
The kitchen sparkles. Things are out of sight that are supposed to be out of sight. D also pushed the vertical blinds to one side, and let in a bunch of light. I pushed them back this morning, then decided to put them back the way D had them. I have curtains up, so privacy isn't the issue. Oh, and those curtains need to be laundered. I may do that in a day or so.
What's left to do is mop the kitchen floor, and I can do that a little bit at a time. Mopping and vacuuming use the same motion that hurts my back. Vacuuming is worse, though. Anyway, I have an incentive now, and I'm seriously working on getting rid of paper. A lot of it is just junk that I never got around to throwing away. But some of it needs to be shredded as it contains name and address. All bank statements will be shredded because I can access my account on line, and the bank hasn't been sending statements lately. So the clutter is all outdated stuff. It's hard for a pack-rat to throw away anything. But I just have to bite the bullet. I hate living in clutter. So why have I allowed it to accumulate? I don't need a shrink to tell me. Mostly I have too much time, and I'll always "do it later." Well, you know how that goes.
So thank you my dear friends. I promise to try very hard to keep up what you have started for me.
Bless
